I was q studio drummer in the 70's and 80's, Ian taught me alot on the drums. In those days, you did not need to know how to read, just jam. I hear so many times that this drummer or that drummer are the best,that's plain ignorance. I held Alan White, barriemore Barlow, Steve Gadd, Phil Collins, Lenny white as all great drummers. Pertaining to their own field. Ian's Mule is so perfect with only one mistake, you can hear the sticks hit, besides that, it's a beyond perfect drum solo.

My dream kit…16x10” rack tom 18” and 20” floor toms 26” bass drum, did he take inspiration from Ringos custom made Ludwig silver sparkle oversized kit in the Hello Goodbye video which had a 16” rack as well?? 🤔🤔

By the way , this amazing solo (and others like are like perfect examples why i see Ian Paice is the supreme master of 🥁 drums alive solos in the 70's era. - Made in Japan - Live in London - California Jam - Live and Rare - Last concert in Japan - Live Paris 75 (hear and think .. no one drummer did so different and incredible solos alive like Paice. He is absolutely 🏆🥇🏆.
